Requirements for Math 19B

To be eligible to enroll in Math 19B you must meet one of the following criteria:

bullet

Sufficient score on Calculus AP AB or BC exam

bullet

Passing Grade in Math 19A

bullet

Transfer credit (contact Naomi Brokaw at nabrokaw@ucsc.edu or 459-4691)

 Grading Policy

bullet

bullet

Section attendance and quizzes (10%)

From these scores I will produce an overall score for each student; these overall scores will be put on a curve for the class. Based on experience from previous courses, an overall score of around 60% is sufficient to pass (no guarantee of course.) It is possible to pass even if one does fail a particular exam. However, you will not pass if you fail all your exams even if you have perfect scores on your homework.
