The Mathematics Placement exam is designed to help both you and the department to decide which is the appropriate class for you to take. It is really NOT an exam you pass or fail. It is a diagnostic tool to put you in the appropriate math course at UCSC. Placement exam times and locations are generally announced in the schedule of classes and on the math department web site. For more information or to find out if and when an additional placement exam is being offered, please contact Naomi Brokaw at nabrokaw@ucsc.edu or 459-4691. You can also check your result(s) on-line. For students with disabilities the setup of the placement exam may not be appropriate. If this is the case for you , please contact me (Frank Bäuerle) at bauerle@ucsc.edu or 459-2964 or contact Mike Mosley at nabrokaw@ucsc.edu or 459-4691. |
